First draft of the Hourai dialogue script is done. Didn’t take too long — minus the days I wasn’t actually working on it, I’d say it took between a week and a half to two weeks.
This calls for some happy music!
I also have an old translated dump of the non-dialogue script that was translated back in the day by Akujin, so technically this is the first time in years that Hourai’s had a complete English script (to the best of my knowledge). However, I’m planning to translate the non-dialogue stuff anew from a fresh dump. I decided I might as well finish what I started, and besides, I don’t know if I have permission to use Akujin’s text. No problem, though, by this point I kind of want the English script to be all my own work anyway.
You just flew through this thing, huh? For a whole rpg script, I’d say that was pretty fast. Is it still AGTP that’s actually doing the insertion for this one? It’s hard to find news over there.
As I told someone before, it’s all about getting the sweet spot between motivation and plenty of time to work. I was pretty lucky for this one.
And yes, AGTP’s still handling the technical side of things.
Thats great news, I’m also surprised how fast you moved through this. I really hope this game moves up the priority list at AGTP.
Do keep in mind it’s a rough draft, so there’s a lot more work left. The important thing is that it’s in some manner of English now, and that there’s a full script to test insertion and stuff with.
Considering what happened the last time someone translated it, I’d say the project is still doing better now though. And getting it translated in the first place is still the biggest chunk of work on the translation side, right? So I’m not too worried by now, you do good work.
