If you’re into translating like I am, you may be interested in participating in al|together. It’s a translation festival of free visual novel games taking place in mid-July this year. (If you don’t know what a visual novel is, it’s a bit like the second disc of Xenogears but without battles.)
I don’t really know much about the genre, since I only really play console games and stuff, but I quite like the idea of a translation festival like this. So, I’m going to take part, and I hope that if you’re interested, you do too.
Not much happening lately, due to being extremely busy with real life of late. I’ve been poking at Energy Breaker now and then recently, and I did a bit of work on Filena shortly after the release of the patch.
Specifically, I’ve rounded up several of the bugs in the current patch, thanks chiefly to Corvid’s input:
- Text spilling out of the window when Zenna tells Filena where her room is
- The “it’s locked” and “it’s empty” text strings for treasure chests weren’t translated
- A few problems with consistency (ie. “Dra” versus “Dorah”) and poor writing
I’m aware there’s still a few formatting problems though, but it’s nothing major. I’ve made some headway into the next town, but work’s been kind of held up lately.
